This 2000 PRS McCarty is a fantastic example of one of Paul Reed Smith’s most celebrated designs. Finished in a beautiful Burst that highlights the figured maple top, this guitar combines vintage-inspired tone with the exceptional craftsmanship that made early-2000s PRS instruments so desirable.
Built with a slightly thicker mahogany body and a comfortable Wide Fat mahogany neck, this McCarty offers outstanding resonance, sustain, and playability. The wraparound bridge enhances note transfer and sustain, while the upgraded PRS 57/08 humbuckers deliver rich, articulate tones with vintage character—from warm cleans to thick, singing overdrive.
This guitar has been played and enjoyed over the years and shows cosmetic wear consistent with regular use, including finish blemishes and surface marks throughout. Despite the cosmetic wear, it remains structurally solid, plays exceptionally well, and sounds fantastic.
