2009 PRS Limited Edition McCarty PF-09 - Nitro Smokeburst

$2,799.00

2009 PRS Limited Edition McCarty PF-09 in Nitro Smokeburst

Here is one you don’t see too often! The 2009 PRS McCarty PF-09 Smokeburst was an extremely rare, limited-run. Released in 2009 as part of a "Experience" series the Limited Production consisted of only 80 guitars produced across the entire PF-09 series (which included Custom 22, Singlecut, and McCarty models).

"PF" stands for "Paul's Finish," a specifically developed thin, hand-rubbed nitrocellulose satin lacquer, which was a departure from the more common, thicker gloss finishes. The guitar features a figured maple top in a Smokeburst finish, a mahogany body and neck, a wide-fat neck profile, and a rosewood fretboard. Its loaded with a pair of the highly regarded PRS 57/08 humbuckers.

The guitar is in excellent condition. Because of the thin nitro finish, many of these guitars have developed natural, "worn-in" character over time. There are no dings, dents or cracks anywhere to be seen on the guitar. Electronics work as expected and sound absolutely incredible.

The 2009 PF-09 McCarty Smokeburst has become highly sought after by collectors and players for its vintage-inspired feel, thin finish, and early 57/08 pickups
