Part of Fender Custom Shop's Time Machine Series, the 1968 Stratocaster Lush Closet Classic brandishes the look, sound, and vibe of a late '60s Strat. This exquisite solidbody electric guitar is built around a 2-piece slab of select alder with a lightly aged Closet Classic nitrocellulose lacquer finish and hardware. Its plain-grain maple neck boasts a supremely comfortable 1969 "U" back shape, along with a fast-playing 9.5-inch-radius round-lam maple fingerboard. Plugging the 1968 Stratocaster Lush Closet Classic into a tube amp is a real treat, thanks to its Custom Shop hand-wound '69 Underwound Strat single-coil pickups, which are bolstered by Vintage '68-'69 Strat wiring and modern 5-way switching. You also get a vintage-style Synchronized Tremolo and Schaller "F" tuning machines, a 3-ply parchment pickguard, and a wing-style string tree with a nylon spacer.
