This is an extremely limited Gibson Custom Shop Wilcutt exclusive featuring a custom Pelham Blue VOS finish that is rarely seen on a ’57 Les Paul reissue. The standout detail is that the Pelham Blue extends across the top, back, sides, and neck, giving this guitar a completely different look from the typical Goldtop ’57 Reissue.
This guitar is in excellent condition with no visual blemishes to note. The electronics function flawlessly and sound phenomenal. It is exceptionally clean and presents exactly as you would expect from a nearly new Custom Shop instrument. Includes the original Gibson Lifton hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, and all case candy.
Built by Gibson Custom’s expert luthiers, this ’57 Les Paul Standard follows the construction and appointments that made the original late-’50s Les Pauls so iconic. The one-piece lightweight mahogany back, two-piece figured maple top, long-tenon mahogany neck, and Indian rosewood fingerboard provide the sustain, resonance, and substantial feel you expect from a Historic-spec Les Paul.
The Chunky C-profile mahogany neck has the unmistakable substantial feel associated with a ’50s Les Paul, while the 12" fingerboard radius and Historic Gibson Narrow/Tall frets provide a comfortable playing platform. The attention to detail extends throughout the guitar, including the hide-glue construction, nylon nut, cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays, no-wire ABR-1 bridge, lightweight aluminum stop tailpiece, and vintage-correct Kluson single-line tuners.
