2024 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '56 Stratocaster Relic, Faded Sonic Blue
2024 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '56 Stratocaster Relic in Faded Sonic Blue
The guitar features a 2 piece ash body with relic'd lacquer finish, a beautiful 5/4 Qtr Sawn maple neck with a 9.5”-radius fingerboard with 21 narrow tall frets. This model also features a trio of Hand-Wound ‘56 single-coil pickups
This guitar is in excellent condition. No blemishes to note outside the factory relic work. The electronics work as expected. The pickups sound incredible! The 10/56 V neck on this guitar is extremely comfortable and very easy to play. This guitar is a ton of fun!
Includes the Fender original Hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, shop floor sheet, tremolo, bridge cover and all paperwork.
1956 was a transitional year for the Strat, with the introduction of alder bodies rather than ash on Sunburst and custom-color models. In November of that year, a soft “V” neck back shape appeared that was sometimes slightly off center—a profile we’ve recreated for this version—and the rectangular “wing” string tree replaced the disc type. Overall, the 1956 Strat became a highly sought-after classic, and now we’ve given it several updated player-friendly appointments for comfort and improved tonal capabilities.
