This 2024 PRS Limited Edition DGT Semi-Hollow Artist Top is an exceptionally rare instrument, with only 200 made worldwide. Even more special, this example is hand-signed by Paul Reed Smith on the front of the headstock and David Grissom on the backplate.
The guitar is in excellent condition with no significant visual blemishes to note. Light superficial surface scratches may be present but are too minor to properly show in photos. The electronics function flawlessly and sound incredible. Includes the original PRS paisley hardshell case, hang tag, and all pictured case candy.
Finished in McCarty Sunburst, this limited edition is based on a semi-hollow DGT that David Grissom personally commissioned several years ago. The combination of the artist-grade flame maple top, semi-hollow mahogany body, moon inlays, and McCarty Sunburst gives this DGT a beautiful vintage-inspired appearance.
The semi-hollow construction adds a unique character to the DGT platform, offering increased resonance, openness, and dynamic response. Compared with the solidbody DGT, this version has a slightly warmer top end and a more focused low end, making it an incredibly versatile addition to a serious guitar collection.
At its core, this is still a DGT through and through. It features the signature DGT neck shape, jumbo frets, 25" scale length, custom-voiced DGT pickups, and dual-volume-control layout that have made the model a favorite among players. The push-pull tone control adds additional tonal flexibility, while the PRS tremolo and Phase III locking tuners provide excellent tuning stability and performance.
