2025 Gibson Custom Shop 1955 Les Paul NAMM Show Commemorative Edition – Light Aged Samoa Beige
2025 Gibson Custom Shop 1955 Les Paul NAMM Show Commemorative Edition – Light Aged Samoa Beige
This is a very limited Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul, part of the 1955 NAMM Show Commemorative Edition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the original custom-color Les Pauls displayed at the show. Only 70 of each color were sold worldwide.
Finished in Light Aged Samoa Beige, this guitar is in excellent condition with no visual blemishes outside of the beautiful factory aging. The electronics work exactly as they should and sound fantastic. Includes the original Gibson Lifton hardshell case, special commemorative Certificate of Authenticity, and all pictured case candy.
Gibson recreated the distinctive custom metallic finishes and historically accurate appointments of the five Les Pauls shown at the 1955 NAMM Show. This edition features a lightweight, one-piece mahogany body, a two-piece plain maple cap fitted using hide glue, and a one-piece mahogany neck with a long tenon and substantial ’50s Chunky D profile. The Light Aged Samoa Beige finish gives it a unique vintage look, complemented by color-matched Speed knobs and lightly aged hardware.
A pair of cream-covered Gibson Custom Shop P-90 Soapbar pickups delivers the unmistakable bite, warmth, and clarity that make these early Les Pauls so special. The historically inspired details continue with a no-wire ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, Indian rosewood fingerboard, aged cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays, nylon nut, and vintage-style Kluson tuners.
