The Original Snapper CTM represents the best of ESP's Japanese craftsmanship, with each instrument hand built by ESP's Custom Shop luthiers in Japan. The Snapper design takes inspiration from ESP's early instruments and combines that vintage-inspired foundation with modern performance and versatility.
The swamp ash body provides a lively, resonant response with plenty of sustain, while the striking burled poplar topgives this particular guitar an incredible look. The Nebula Pink Purple Burst finish really shows off the figuring and makes this one stand out from the crowd.
The maple neck features ESP's Thin U profile, offering a fast, comfortable feel without becoming overly thin or flat. The 240–305mm compound radius provides a comfortable platform for everything from rhythm playing to serious lead work.
The Snapper CTM's pickup configuration is where this guitar really separates itself from a traditional HSS-style instrument. The bridge features a Seymour Duncan ’59/Custom Hybrid humbucker, combining characteristics of the ’59 Model and Duncan Custom for a harmonically rich tone with more output and aggression than a traditional PAF-style pickup.
In the middle and neck positions are Seymour Duncan Hot Stack Plus pickups. These noiseless Alnico V stacked single-coils deliver the clarity, snap, and character of a traditional Strat-style pickup while providing additional punch and eliminating the typical single-coil hum.
The standard 5-way selector is only the beginning. Additional pickup-mix and capacitance switching options dramatically expand the available tonal palette, giving this Snapper an impressive amount of versatility without making the control layout overly complicated.
